Kevin Murphy has introduced eco-friendly packaging in an HDPE (high density polyethylene) bottle for his popular Anti Gravity Spray.
“Aluminum production requires an incredible amount of energy,” Murphy says. “The same piece of aluminum would need to be recycled 20 times just to cancel out the energy used to create said product in the first place.”
Murphy says the HDPE bottle reduces energy costs that come from production, and the improved packaging will be easier to recycle.
“By making the product non-aerosol, associated carbon emissions will be eliminated,” Murphy says.
In 2012, Murphy’s brand was given the PETA seal of approval for its continued endeavors in cruelty-free products that are not tested on animals. Murphy says he is always seeking ways to reduce his brand’s carbon footprint.
