At the Case-Mate ShowCase 2013, a mobile fashion event that was held at the Best Buy Theatre in Times Square, Gelish Educator Rose Velez and her team of manicurists went backstage to finish fashion designer Cesar Galindo's looks with beautiful nail art.

Art Deco was the theme and Velez went with color blocking as the motif for the manicures. Using Gelish Gel Polish,  Velez created 17 sets of custom tip designs to correspond and complement the clothes and the cases. The nail tips were either glued on to the models’ hands or applied with adhesive tabs so they could be easily removed.

The event also included a performance by rapper Common, who was introduced on stage by pop-star Fergie.
