TheSalonGuy Studios Offers Appointment-Based Education for Busy Stylists

Stylists’ busy, appointment-filled schedules make it difficult to find hours or days for getting away and attending continuing education classes. But what if they could book an appointment just as their clients do?

Media personality and 20-year stylist veteran Stephen Marinaro, best known as TheSalonGuy, today announced the launch of The SalonGuy Studios, an appointment-based education platform and beauty media space. It is based on the familiar salon booking format, with stylists now able to schedule education time just as easily and conveniently as their clients book a haircut. The studio’s grand opening and first day of training will be held on June 22, 2015 at the 1,800-square-foot salon and studio space located on the second floor of 354 George Street, New Brunswick, New Jersey.

The SalonGuy Studios is a space where professionals in the beauty and creative arts fields come together to learn, host events, and create content. Essential training sessions and seminars will be held on site on important topics including video editing, photography, business, marketing, and branding. Space rental is also available for classes, meetings and networking events to help industry professionals boost their brand’s exposure.

“We’re thrilled to open this incredible space,” says Founder Stephen Marinaro. “We aim to become the East Coast hub for the beauty and style industry.”

The SalonGuy Studios breaks the impersonal group-based training mold, making it possible for stylists to work one-on-one with recognized industry leaders and gain hands-on training in the specific areas they need to master. As opposed to listening and absorbing materials for hours or days, participants enjoy intensive sessions and immediate feedback during appointments that last just 2 hours on average to align with busy schedules. Additional time may be scheduled as needed and fees vary based on instructor, subject matter, and lesson plan.

Long hair and editorial styling expert Wade Lee Richards, cutting expert Tom Harris of Paul Mitchell, colorist Rosa Martinez, makeup artist Jasmine Kerecz of Mirabella and Master Barber Mitch aka "The Bearded Barber" are just a few of the trainers lined-up for the much-anticipated opening day.
