Regis Corporation will host its annual one-day hair cutting event , Clip for The Cure, to benefit breast cancer awareness and research on Saturday October 19, 2013. This year more than 7,000 Regis corporate salons and more than 50,000 stylists will be clipping for the cure.

Regis clients can visit a participating salon on October 19 for a haircut and ten percent of the proceeds from each cut will go to the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research to fund diagnosis, prevention, treatment and research to find a cure for breast cancer.

Regis is also offering fund raising opportunities through October 31 with the sale of breast cancer awareness rings and bracelets as well as limited edition pink products. Clients can also make cash donations to the foundation.

“Clip for the cure is close to our guests and stylists because so many of us know someone who has been touched by breast cancer,” says Regis Corp. CEO Dan Hanrahan. “Breast cancer research has been a focus of Regis for over 20 years, and we are proud to help raise money and awareness for this cause.”

Since its inception, Regis stylists and clients have raised more than $10 million for the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research, which supports research projects at leading research institutes including the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic.
