Taking spring at her word, Salon Blue, one of Chicago's top color salons, recently created a bouquet of looks to benefit the city's famed Garfield Park Conservatory.
The staff of the two-location Salon Blue (in upscale Lakeview and edgy Bucktown) worked with a cadre of florists to weave together hair, hats and headdresses in "Fleurotica," a fashion/flower runway show.
The hair designers, led by co-owners Mary Kay King and Katrina Lippe, matched tress tones to blossoms, created styled effects to match the lushness of the flowers, and then completed the looks with complementary make-up.
