Art class is back in session. Colorists can grab their paint cans and create a beautiful masterpiece, thanks to Goldwell’s new Elumen Play and Elumen Care Collection. The hair color system is an expansion of the brand’s nonoxidative and ammonia-free direct dyes that launched in 2001. The new additions deliver creative, semipermanent color and a care collection to support color between salon visits.

Vibrant color specialists Hailey Mahone @haileymahonehair, Gerilyn Ghaisarzadeh @gerilynghaisarzadeh and Emily Boulin @emilyboulinhair have recently added Elumen Play to their palettes.

“My favorite thing about the Elumen Play line is that the colors can be intermixed and applied to a range of different canvasses,” Boulin says. “The end result is customitzation for each client.”

There are eight bold, shades and four pastels, all of which are true to tone and can be customized with Clear to pastelize and Jet Black for a more smokey finish. The other shades include: Sunny Yellow, Juicy Orange, Fiery Red, Hot Pink, Mysterious Violet, Ocean Blue, Tropical Green, Blush Coral, Bashful Rose, Sweet Lavender, and Cool Mint. When changing color, Elumen Play Eraser is designed to remove the current shade.

“The vibrancy and consistency of the color are excellent,” Mahone says. “It glides through the hair, and the color payoff is exceptional.”

Keep Your Colors Bold

The Elumen Care collection helps maintain vibrancy and ensure color fades to tone. The care collection includes a shampoo, conditioner, mask and leave-in conditioner.
