Twice a year the Cutting Countdown event features new and exciting ways of how to create short, medium and long hair looks—it’s a fun way to show stylists, new or veterans, trends for the season.

This year, educators included L’Anza’s Ryan Teal, Goldwell USA’s Robert Brown and KMS California’s Simon Miller.

Ryan Teal’s class, "Razor-lution," taught stylists inspiring razor techniques that can be utilized behind the chair. Simon Miller taught "Cutting Edge" which explored photo shoots and techniques used to create the looks. Robert Brown's "Color Zoom ’13:Beautify," taught how mixing and matching colors, materials and patterns can inspire you into developing innovative designs with individual design and charm.

At the end of each of the courses, participants got to take home their mannequin heads as souvenirs and they each received a Certificate of Achievement. For more education opportunities like this one, visit www.essentialsalonproducts.com/education.html.
