Since it's inception, Linange has created products in response to stylist’s needs. Today, Linange offers a full range of color, texturizing, care, finishing products. Check out these lightening tips for black hair from two Linange salon professionals.

Blonde transformation! Hair by Andres Yagual @by_andresyagual, using lighteners from Linange.

Figueroa Reyes specializes in curly hair, extensions and blonding. For her, hair health is paramount. So when it comes to formulating, she says, never blast the hair with high volume developer. “The power is in the lightener, not in the developer,” she says, “so never foil with 40-volume. Instead, lower your developer and increase the amount of lightener in your formula.” Her lighteners of choice are from Linange, an Italian-made range that contains heavily moisturizing ingredients like shea butter, argan oil, castor oil and coconut oil. “Linange lighteners give me the confidence to lift with as little stress as possible on the hair,” says Figueroa Reyes.

Before and after. When coloring hair for photo sessions, there’s no room for error. That’s why Dreisy Figueroa Reyes relies on Linange lighteners and color to lift her models’ hair. These blue based formulas also feature balancing beige tones.
“The lighter you want the hair to be,” notes Figueroa Reyes, “the thinner your sections should be.” Fine sections ensure the hair is thoroughly saturated with lightener and the formula doesn’t have to work as hard to penetrate a thicker section. This prevents brassy spots and bands and promotes even, consistent results.

“I still see yellow,” said this client, NOT! Hair by David Alexander, David Alexander Image Studio, Houston, @_davidalexanderimagestudio
Alexander says 100% of his clients are Latina with natural levels of color ranging from 2 to 5. He finds Linange color and lighteners highly effective at neutralizing the unwanted undertones present at those levels. “The majority of my clients request very light blonde and platinum tones,” he says, “and Linange lighteners make the magic happen!” Figueroa Reyes adds, “The Linange color line has a strong blue base and very balanced beige tones. This is important when you are working on levels 2 to 6 and need some neutralization to balance your colors. Especially when almost all of your clients are natural dark levels who don’t want to see warmth at all. How often do we dread hearing, ‘I still see yellow?’ With Linange, we don’t hear those comments from clients.”
Another reason Figueroa Reyes chooses Linange is the fact that it’s a complete line made by stylists for stylists. “This is a family-owned company, (Linange comes from the names of the family’s sisters Linda and Angelina) they listen to us professionals when we tell them what our customers need and they deliver,” she says. “They offer highly-efficient powder lighteners, color pigmented and cream lighteners, color busters, permanent, demi and semi-permanent color line that all deliver longevity. There are deep conditioning and toning treatments that deliver color instantly, a bond repairing system and home care. And it’s all at really reasonable prices. When I say they have everything, I really mean it!”
Both Alexander and Figueroa are huge fans of the products offered by Linange for many reasons. If Linange isn’t yet on your radar, here are a few things you need to know:
--Based on the East Coast, the company launched in 1999 with a straightening system that quickly became a best seller. From there, they continued to create products in response to stylist’s needs and today Linange offers a full range of color, texturizing, care, and finishing products.
--At Linange, ingredients matter. The company uses advanced technology and bio-molecular components. The Italian-made hair color is formulated to protect hair as it performs. The full range of hair care features natural ingredients rich in proteins, amino acids, vitamins and minerals, to improve and protect hair structure. The finishing line offers formulas for every styling need on every type of hair.
--Education also matters. Linange has cultivated a team of expert educators to offer its customers training on the newest techniques and trends, as well as on the best strategies for working with all of the Linange products. Education is offered in English and Spanish, and the schedule often contains exciting educational events, including an upcoming 5-day cruise with a 2-day conference onboard.
--The company just underwent a “head-to-toe” upgrade, including a new look for all of its products, modernizing reformulations and sustainable packaging.
