On July 11, Pravana founder Steve Goddard will receive the City of Hope Spirit of Life Award during the “Rock the Cure” dinner and entertainment event at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The “cure” in this case refers to a cure for cancer, and Goddard has spearheaded efforts all year to raise funds to fight the disease. Salons throughout the country participated in a Rock the Cure Cut-a-Thon held in May, with proceeds going to this cause.
Salons continue to be invited to hold a cut-a-thon, but if you’re unable to either attend the Spirit of Life evening or participate in a cut-a-thon, you still can help to “Rock the Cure” by donating any amount you choose on a CrowdRise page launched by top industry artist Sherri Jessee, who will be demonstrating hair design at the Spirit of Life event.
“For me, there is no greater fight to win than the one against cancer,” Steve Goddard states.
