Rebeca Deanne (@rebelnoel_hair) of Studio 145, Corona, CA. gets inspired to try new techniques and challenges herself by following some of the best colorists on Instagram. "I really love the whole beauty industry community, as many of them share their knowledge and techniques. I hope to one day be another stylist's inspiration," she says.

MODERN was inspired when we found this transformation on Deanne's Instagram feed. We asked for more info and she shares!

"My client came in with about 3 inches of regrowth, and previously colored and highlighted hair. Her natural level is about a 6, and the color she came in with was a level 7 with gold and red tones. I decided I was going to do a full highlight, doing babylights, and balayage her ends, while leaving her natural color at the root to give her some dimension and a 'rooted' look."

Deanne used Wella Blondor, Olaplex, and Redken Shades EQ to create the end result. Here she shares the HOW TO in her own words:

"I began at the nape of her neck and worked my way up doing babylights and using Wella Blondor with 30 volume and Olaplex. Once everything was heavily highlighted and processed for 45 minutes (without heat), I began to remove the foils and group them together in small sections to balayage using Wella Blondor with 40 volume and Olaplex. That processed without heat for 20 minutes. Next, I rinsed and applied equal parts 9V and 9N Redken Shades EQ. This processed for 7 minutes. Finally, I finished her off using the Step 2 from Olaplex."
