DIY Fade To Intense Dimensional Orange

Julie Mueller (@spectraltones) co-owner of Stay Gold Salon, Fullerton, California, specializes in vivid hair coloring. "My client Karen came to me with a few inches of roots and a faded blue color. I had done her color awhile back but she had since put a store bought Ion vivid color over her color, which was the faded blue. Ion color is always hard to lift out." 

Here Mueller shares HOW she transformed this pro to DIY situation in to something quite breathtaking:

Step 1: To the root apply 40 volume L'Oreal Professionnel Blonde Studio Lightener. Process for 20 minutes. Do not rinse.

Step 2: To the mids apply 25 volume with the same lightener with Olaplex. To the ends apply20 volume with the same lightener with Olaplex. Process another 15-20 minutes. Rinse and shampoo.

Step 3: From roots to mids apply Pravana Orange.

Step 4: From mids to ends alternate the following shades:

Formula 1 -Pravana Orange

Formula 2 - Pravana Neon Orange and Pravana Yellow

Formula 3- Pravana Orange and Pravana Magenta

Process according to the manufacturers instructions. Rinse.
