It was one of the first shows on the first day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NY and Frank Rizzieri and Kevin Ryan (for Aveda) had just 2 hours to finish the dozens of models who were preparing to show the Spring 2013 collection for designer Richard Chai.
"Richard’s collection is sporty and modern, and he plays with proportion – nothing is exactly as you’d have imagined it,” says Kevin Ryan. “We’re slicking the hair back into a low ponytail with asymmetrical partings on top of the head. At first glance it looks like a regular pony, but look again and you notice something’s a little off.”
MODERN was backstage and had the opportunity to chat with Frank Rizzieri during prep, and as an added bonus, got a great video of the models on their final walk. Thanks Aveda for the front row seat!
