Michael Duenas was the lucky one tapped to create big sexy waves for the Betsey Johnson fall/winter 2014 collection, presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC. The Schwarzkopf Professional Brand Ambassador pulled out all his favorite products and tools to create the "Bridgette Bardot meets modern day Rock and roll" finish that he calls "an iconic look turned edgy and loud." According to Duenas (who used the new OSIS+ Session Label which launches in June), "disheveled texture is really coming back. My goal is to create a finish that everyone in the audience wants."

Here Duenas offers the HOW TO:

TOOLS: SKP PRO-Heat by FHI Heat and SKP PWO-FLAT by FHI Heat.

STEP 4: Twist small sections of hair and wrap around a 1.5 inch curling iron, keeping the blade lightly closed.

STEP 5: Curl in opposite directions to create an irregular and natural fall.

STEP 6: Take sections of the hair from the crown and wrap down the barrel. Slide the hair off the barrel and once cooled, move down an inch and repeat, but wrap up.

STEP 7: Sprinkle OSIS+ Session Label Dust It Flex into the root and backcomb for height at the crown.

STEP 8: Take the SKP PRO-FLAT by FHI Heat flat iron to the middle of each curl and press the ends straight.

STEP 9: Finger comb to separate each curl then basketweave and backcomb at the crown to hide sectioning. Brush over the top to polish.

STEP 10: Gently break the curls apart and spray OSIS+ Session Label Strong Hold Hairspray.
