Do you clients' have problems with knotted up or tangled hair? I just came across this product called Knot Genie—available in pink, purple, blue and silver—and it claims to slip though the hair with it's unique bristle configuration. This product is perfect for your child clients! Not only is it effective, they come in all different designs.

How it works: The Knot Genie contains different lengths of teeth on the brush. Because of the lack of stress it puts on the hair, the hair's cuticle stays unharmed (preventing breakage and split ends). Also, this brush is uniquely cloud-shaped and fits the palm securely so you can have more control.

According to knotgenie.com, here are some tips and tricks you can do to make de-tangling a more comfortable experience for your client.

Use Conditioner: Condition hair after washing and then run a bit of conditioner between your hands and work through wet hair before brushing.

Start Small and Go Slow: Long or curly hair can be harder to brush, so make sure you section before brushing. Use your fingers to separate a section at a time and then begin brushing against your hand, starting at the ends and working up to the roots. This will relieve pressure without pulling the hair.

Dry hair or wet? Don't brush curly hair when it's dry. Brushing dry curly hair disrupts the curl pattern, creating frizz. Use only on wet hair.
