Faatemah Ampey created a beautiful fingerwave finish for her Intercoiffure Spring Symposium presentation. MODERN caught up with her backstage to get a TIP OF THE DAY, but Faatemah ended up giving several tips including the following:

-When you see something in a magazine, tear it out, study it and practice. If it inspires you, it is also inspiring your client.

-Have discipline. Remember to go back to the basics and practice. They always come in handy.

-For fingerwaves, make sure to stroke or brush each section and follow with your finger to reinforce the direction.

-Finishes much be three times bigger than what looks right to the eye for stage or photography.
