Jon Frawley (@jonnystylez) just completed this project and wanted to share! "This client came in wanting to decolorize her hair and go for a ocean-toned mermaid-inspired color. Maintenance was not an issue." With the exception of a few colored highlights, the hair was virgin.

Step 1: Foil hair and highlight using bleach with 30 volume developer. Keep 3/4 inch off the scalp. Lift to a golden level 8. Shampoo and dry completely.

Step 2: Apply bleach with 25 volume lightener to roots and 10 volume to the ends. Process and lift to a nice pale yellow, level 9/10. Rinse.

Step 3: Apply Wella Blondor Seal and Care to neutralize all bleach and prep for toning.

Step 4: Pre-tone using 10/81 Wella Color Touch 6 volume. Process for about 4 minutes, leaving a little gold. Rinse.

Step 5: To the roots apply equal parts Pravana Blue and Blue Topaz. Process for 15 minutes.

Step 6: Rinse allowing the blue from the roots bleed down a little and add some tone to the rest of the hair shaft. Finish with Pulp Riot Sea Glass and process for 15 minutes.
