"This was my first time with this particular client," says Kristi Waldrop (@Kristi_Mac_of_Hair) a stylist/makeup artist at Head Rush Salon in Gonzales, Louisiana. "She had been following my IG for awhile and decided that she wanted me to do her hair. I was thrilled and up for the challenge. She had multiple old bands of color, but with some patience, I was able to remove them and get her to this gorgeous sunset orange!"
Formulas:
Schwarzkopf BlondeMe Lightener + 20 volume developer + 1/4 oz. of Brazilian Bond Builder (B3)
Prepare for custom coloring using Arctic Fox Hair Color:
Formula 1) 40g Orange Sunset
Formula 2) 40g Orange Sunset + 5g Neon Moon
Application:
STEP 1: Lighten hair using the top lightening formula, lifting to a pretty pale yellow.
STEP 2: Tone using 25g 10.2 Keune Tinta + 10g 9.2 Keune Tinta with double 10 developer. Process for 10-15 minutes, wash and dry.
STEP 3: Section hair into your four basic quadrants. Apply formula 1 at the new growth, formula 2 through the mid-length and ends.
STEP 4: Process for 20 minutes. Rinse with cold water and then shampoo and condition with Kevin Murphy Restorative Treatment
STEP 5: Apply Kevin Muphy "Smooth Again" and Kevin Murphy "Hair Resort" to hair when wet. Blow dry and style as desired.
COLOR TIP: "When applying fashion colors, saturation is a must," Waldrop says. "If you do not take your time on the application, your end result will look splotchy."
