Approx. color and styling time: 2 hours, 30 minutes
GET THE LOOK:
COLOR
STEP 1: Pre-lighten the hair with Schwarzkopf BLONDME.
STEP 2: Once rinsed off and dried, use Wella Color Touch 5/66 with 0/68 mixer for the all-over color.
STEP 3: For the front, foil one layer between the all-over color and the front color with Fudge Paintbox Blueberry Hill.
STEP 4: Foil the section under at the front and side starting with Wella Color Touch 55/65 with 0/65 Wella Koleston mixer blending into Affinage b:RED Copper layering the foils back to back.
STEP 5: Take one foil at the side from the side burn and blend from Wella Color Touch 5/66 with 0/68 to Fudge Paintbox Blueberry Hill to Wella Color Touch 55/65 with 0/65 to the Affinage b:RED Copper.
CUT
To cut, Cavallo says he chose a "simple-but-striking cut by having a short, precise fringe blending into a sharp edge at the side and the top falling to the same side." He left a small, fine, sharp section at the other side and "took both sides up and around the ears while tapering the back into the back of the neck to keep focus on the front."
Cavallo used a number of tools for the cut, including scissors, texturizing scissors, a cut-throat razor and peanut mini-clippers.
STYLE
STEP 1: Blow dry with a small round brush and finished off with Ghd stylers.
STEP 2: Use Neal & Wolf Moulding Paste and Shine Spray to shape as desired.
STEP 3: Finish with Neal & Wolf Hold and Shine Spray; use a styling comb and Patrick Cameron brush to smooth.
