Jon Alexander Frawley (@jonnystylez), a color and balayage specialist at Bangz Salon and Wellness Spa, Montclair, New Jersey, says, "This client, a young women who runs her own landscaping company, can have ANY hair color she wants! She came to me because her best friend was getting married and wanted her to 'tone down' the look of her hair for this wedding. We obviously wanted to keep it a rad color, so we settled on a nice ice blonde that reflected cool blue tones. The results were 'wedding friendly' and kept my client feeling unique."
Here Frawley shares the details for this dramatic makeover on his client with level 6 roots and powerful Manic Panic pink mids and ends.
Step 1: Apply Wella On The Scalp lightener with 30 volume developer to the roots.
Step 2: After roots lift to level 9/10, apply Wella Blondor with 20 volume developer to the ends and midshaft.
Step 3: Once lifted, apply 7/81 Wella Illumina with a dot of /88 Wella Koleston with 6 volume to the roots. Process for 15 minutes, reaching blue gray. Rinse.
Step 4: Apply Wella Instamatics "Ocean Storm" and a ribbon inch of "Muted Mauve" with 6 volume Wella Color Touch developer. Process for 20 minutes to reach a pearly blue hue.
Step 5: Finish with Wella Blondor Seal and Care for after the bleaching service. Process for 7 minutes.
