Breanna Weinhold (@breebirds_hair) is a balayage and color correction specialist in the Mane Haus Salon suite at Salon Republic the Village in Woodland Hills, California. "My client used to get bleach and tones but she wanted something with a softer grow out so she can go longer feels less of an urgency to get into the salon when she’s due for a touch up."
Weinhold gave her client a full head of baby-lights and toned the very root slightly darker to soften it a bit more. Here she shares more details:
STEP 1: Mix Wella Blondor and 20 volume developer. Foil in thin sections to break up the harsh line of demarcation from previous bleach and tone. Avoid overlapping on previously lightened hair. Lighten to a level 11 at room temperature.
STEP 2: After processing, wash out with Pulp Riot Barcelona purple shampoo.
STEP 3: Tone all over with Redken Shades EQ 9p + 9T + 9v and CLEAR. Then tone the root with 8N and 9NB. Rinse. Then apply Amika The Kure intense repair mask and process for 5 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
STEP 4: Apply It’s a Ten Miracle Leave-in for detangling, extra moisture and heat protectant and then apply MoroccanoilLight for moisture and shine. Dry the hair, then curl with Hot Tools 1 1/4” curling iron, focusing on mid-shaft and leaving out an inch of the ends for a more relaxed look. Finish with Kenra Volume Spray for hold.
