On April 10, 2016, Keune introduced its sophisticated new trend collection, Luxurious Minimalism, at Atlanta's Foundry at Puritan Mill. The launch party welcomed stylists, salon owners, distributors and media to a chic, all-white affair complete with live model presentations from the Keune team.
The collection, which you can view in full here, features nine looks that accompany the launch of nine new shades for Keune's color portfolio.
"We want to be relevant to what's happening on the streets," said Keune Studio Team Artist Christopher Sulimay. "Not just 'show hair.'"
True to Sulimay's sentiment, the collection is full of wearable looks that still have a thumb on the pulse of what's current in color—slate gray, ashy brunette, white-hot platinum and more. Keune team members George Alderete, Amber Skrzypek, Gareth Palmer, Gaby Miley, Carrie Juhasz Horton and more presented models and did quick styling demos for attendees.
The launch party also featured a look at Keune's Color Craving line of direct-deposit haircolor, designed to fade in six to eight shampoos. The line can be used as an in-salon service and also as a retail component so clients can maintain, refresh or change her haircolor as a fashion statement.
George Keune Jr., Keune CEO and president, emphasized how proud he is of the Keune team and the direction the brand is going in 2016.
"I have great trust in my team because I have good people," Keune said. "We are still hands-on. We know about hairdressers. We know about hair-coloring. That's what's needed to grow the brand in the market."
Keune COO Andrew Biazis echoed a similar sentiment. The Keune team has experienced much growth in the past year, and Biazis said that they're looking for people who will be the best in all their respective disciplines, whether it be a platform artist, educator or warehouse manager.
"People are really feeling the emotional connection to Keune, and it's really key," Biazis said. "I'm excited to be here. I'm excited about where this can go."
