So who was a fashion hit? First on Melissa's list was Sandra Bullock's sleek, straight style she wore at the 2010 Oscars. Bullock proved that a formal hair style doesn't always mean an updo! The pixie cut trend took Hollywood by storm this year too. The cut complemented the face shapes of celebs like Carey Mulligan, Michelle Williams and Emma Watson. Melissa also touched on wig wearers like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry's smurf blue hair she donned on the red carpet.
So who wasn't on Melissa's fashion forward list for 2010? Nicki Minaj's "Triangle Fluff Cloud" hair do and Tom Brady's "Bieber Fever" bowl cut. Check out the styles now!

Later in the episode, MSTV takes you behind the scenes of Bridal Week in New York. Master Stylist Tippi Shorter shared how she decided upon the perfect look for the Couture Bridal Designer Claire Pettibone's bridal models. Since Pettibone wanted the hair to resemble "Dancy Fairies," Shorter settled on styles that involved texture, crimping, waves, and whispy pieces. Shorter told MSTV viewers that it's always good to step away from a hair style and look at it from afar. She believes that current bridal styles should incorporate a fresh, new look-they should be more whimsical and loosened up.
For more information on these stories and others, make sure you watch the current MSTV episode. Don't forget there will be plenty of more episodes this year (twice per month) of videos that will provide you with the inspiration, education and collaboration that will make you knowledgeable and successful in the beauty industry!
