Backstage at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, MODERN stopped by the Peter Som Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Peter Som describes his collection as "classic all-American style through the vibrant lens of pop art." According to the designer, the inspiration comes from American pop art, including a personal favorite, Roy Lichtenstein. "I wanted to mix the animated and colorful vibe of pop art with a classic all-American chicness that would resonate with the everyday woman."

Leading the hair team, Global Creative Director for Wella Professionals Eugene Souleiman created a slightly masculine but classy hair look. The feminine braid cascading down the back with the sleek pompadour in the front is a juxtapostion of highly groomed menswear styling and chic all-American women. "This look exudes a sexy, slightly masculine feel," says Souleiman. "She's edgy but still classy."
