Design team Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra showed a romantic, enchanting collection with bold silhouettes and hues that took us into the woods with touches of wines, golds and teals. Aveda andEssieartistswere tasked with creating makeup and nails that fit the Costello Tagliapietra FW15 show.

Aveda Global Artistic Director for Makeup Janell Geason created an earthy eye and delicately stained lip for the woodsy inspiration and strong design elements of the show. Skin was luminous and cheeks had just a hint of color.
"My goal was to create a youthful, fresh look by bringing out the natural color and overall shape of the eyes by accenting them," Geason says. "It's the perfect enchanted look to complement the collection."

STEP 1: On freshly washed skin, apply Aveda Inner Light Mineral Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum with SPF 15.
STEP 2: Apply Inner Light Concealer where needed; set with Inner Light Mineral Loose Powder.
STEP 3: Apply Petal Essence Single Eye Color in Moon from lash line to crease of the lid. In the inner contour of the eye, apply the medium color in the Petal Essence Eye Color Trio in Gobie Sands.
STEP 4: On the upper and lower line of the lashes, a third of the way to the outer edge of the eyes, apply Petal Essence Eye Definer in Black Orchid; smudge with an eye shadow applicator.
STEP 5: Groom brows by brushing up and over, and then set with Petal Essence Eye Color Trio in Gobi Sands.
STEP 6: Apply Mosscara in Earth on the upper and lower lashes.
STEP 7: Contour cheeks with Petal Essence Face Accents in Tesserae.
STEP 8: Pre-mix Nourish-Mint Rehydrating Lip Glaze in Pink Hibiscus and Fire Poppy on the back of the hand, then dab lightly to the lips with an eye shadow applicator.

Julie Kandalec for Essie took a cue from the structured-yet-feminine jewel-toned frocks at Costello Tagliapietra. The metallic sheen created an eye-catching flash on the runway, and the blue complemented the colors in the collection.
STEP 1: Apply one coat of Essie Ridge Filling Base to clean, filed nails.
STEP 2: Apply two coats of Essie Aruba Blue.
STEP 3: Finish with Essie Good to Go Top Coat.
Pro Tip: The Ridge-Filling Base is ideal for metallic shades; it helps create an even, perfect canvas.
