Old Blonde To New Ash

Cathy Tran (@prostylistcathyt) of Corona, California, says her new client drove more than four hours, asking her to correct her faded, banded, brassy blonde. Tran got busy and shares the HOW TO:

Step 1: Section hair into 3 star sections. Working from the bottom up apply color in a foil/balayage technique. Formula: Redken Flashlift with 20 volume (turning it into 10 volume with Olaplex.) Place from off scalp to line of demarcation.
Step 2: Once lifted to a level 9, pull through to the ends for another 25 to 30 minutes (but airing out the pre-lifted hair so that it stops processing.)
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly and apply Olaplex number 2 for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly then shampoo and condition with Obliphica Professional Seaberry Shampoo and conditioner, leaving conditioner in for 10 minutes.
Step 4: Now go to the roots and apply 7.11 7.14 equal parts with 20 volume.
Step 5: Tone with Wella Color Charm T14, T18 full bottles with cool shades 30 volume, adding Olaplex also into the toner and adding 9a and 7a as an additive, meaning just half a bottle of 9a and 7a with no developer. "Because Color Charm toner lifts and tones I use the same formula for her roots blending it all together as well, only applying to the root area the last 7 minutes."
Step 6: Process toner for 30 minutes. Rinse and apply Olaplex number 2 for 30 minutes. Rinse and shampoo with Obliphica Professional Seaberry shampoo then rinse shampoo and apply Seaberry Mask medium to coarse for 15 minutes.
