The 2012 People’s Choice Awards turned into a beauty face-off as America’s beloved A-listers showcased two prominent trends on the red carpet yesterday.
Wella Professionals' Celebrity Stylist Andy LeCompte said “glamorous, bouncy blowouts” that were “perfect red carpet hair” this season were highlights of the red carpet last night. While subtle simplicity, warm tones and natural beauty were reigning themes yesterday, there was a clear divide between the multi-dimensional, wavy blondes and the super sleek, lustrous brunettes.
Host Kaley Cuoco, Miley Cyrus, Faith Hill, and Julianne Hough all demonstrated the modern yet wildly feminine look—the gradual, three-dimensional color mixed with soft waves gave these ladies maximum definition that left them with a look that was far from forced yet extremely luxurious.
