From June 1st through August 31st, students and stylists entered their most creative color creations for a chance to win their own editorial photo shoot in Chicago. Members of Pravana's Artistic Council judged the contest based on creativity, technique and overall impact.
Each talented winner will receive the following prizes:
First Place: a creative photo shoot for an editorial spread in Chicago mentored by Daniel Moon, Celebrity Colorist and Pravana Artistic Council Member
Second Place: a deluxe Pravana Glam Kit (products of their choice) valued at $1,000
Third Place: a Pravana Glam Kit (products of their choice) valued at $500

Technique: "My model was lightened and cut into a symmetrical a-line bob. I then sectioned along the curve of the head, adding desired colors and ombred sections. The final result is completely multi dimensional color, however it is worn.”

Technique: “I pre-lightened her whole head to a level 9, shampooed and blow-dried. I used Vivids Blue on the top 2 inches, then a mix of Vivids Blue, Pastels Blissful Blue, and Vivids Clear on the mid lengths. The ends are Pastels Blissful Blue, Vivids Green, and Vivids Clear.”

Technique: "I used foiling in the front for the darker pieces and hand painting for the hard part illusion. Blending was done by using the combing technique and the customized color gradient was created by formulating combinations of Blue and Blissful Blue, Luscious Lavender and Clear. To lighten her base I used Pravana Pure Light Power Lightener with 20 Volume.”

Technique: “Pre-lighten the level 5 regrowth to a level 10 using Pravana Pure Light Power Lightener and 40 Volume Crème Developer. Section off a large triangle shape in the center, and horizontal sections on the sides. Foil the sections with a thin slice alternating the color formulas until complete. Apply color to the midshaft and ends of the hair that is remaining, alternating the colors. Process this for 20 minutes at room temperature. Shampoo and condition with Pravana Sulfate-Free Shampoo and Conditioner. Apply Silk Degrees Shine Serum to hair, blowdry, then flat iron.”
