The Beauty Bar at DePasqaule The Spa in Morris Plains, NJ is wonderful new salon concept, inspired by the mini service salons that are popping up around the country. "This is something just about every salon can do," says co-owner Justin DePasquale about the salon within a salon. "We've created a space that's visible in a high traffic area. Any salon could create an appropriately sized space depending on the environment....even if its just one chair. It's a great way to build business."
The Beauty Bar concept is simply carving out a smaller area in the salon designated for quick beauty services. At DePasquale those services include braiding, eyelashes, threading, make up, ponytails and more. "We just opened it a couple weeks ago and it is amazing how our clients are reacting," says DePasquale. "We not only have an ongoing service menu at the bar, but also hold events such as 'mother/daughter', Prom Prep and educational events. Our clients and team members are loving this. The reinvention of our space and new beauty bar concept has been refreshing."
