René Furterer celebrated its new partnership with Gene Juarez Salons and Spas with an exciting event featuring demonstrations by celebrity and editorial hairstylists Alessandro Mangerini and Adrien Flammier.

On May 21st, René Furterer held a special event entitled "The Art of Movement" to honor their new partnership with Gene Jaurez Salons + Spas. To celebrate, 250 hairstylists from Gene Juarez gathered in Seattle at the historical entertainment venue, The Showbox, to observe styling demonstrations by Alessandro Mangerini and Adrien Flammier. Both stylists were aided backstage by top hairstylists from Gene Juarez.
The show began with a welcome from Scott Missad, CEO of Gene Juarez Salons + Spas, who also introduced Jacqueline Flam, Vice President Retail + Salon for René Furterer. Flam shared a bit of history about the brand, including the foundational idea, “Healthy beautiful hair comes from a healthy beautiful scalp.” She then introduced the theme of the evening, "The Art of Movement," encouraging the attendees to think about what movement means to them as they observed the presentations. The next speaker to take the stage was the emcee for the show, National Educator and Brand Ambassador for René Furterer, Chuck Hezekiah. Hezekiah introduced the main event: the demonstrations by Mangerini and Flammier.
Both stylists were tasked with creating looks representative of the nights theme, "The Art of Movement." Mangerini, who took the stage first, began by creating some wearable looks, explaining that to him, beauty lies in the balance of motion. He also noted that he believes that modernity lies in natural looks, and showcased a natural curl style that exemplified movement and modernity. To create the look, Mangerini used René Furterer's new Sublime Curl Curl Nutri-Activating Cream, coating the whole head, then created tight, defined curls by wrapping strands around his finger, and finally, finished by blow drying the hair with a diffuser.
Next, Flammier took the stage and shared that the city of Seattle was the inspiration for the looks he created. The architectural and natural elements of the city influenced his interpretation of "The Art of Movement," inspiring dramatic, avant garde looks. Flammier incorporated artistically styled wigs and extensions, even covering his model's arms with long strands for his finale look.
When the stylists finished with their demonstrations, Scott Missad returned to the stage to give his appreciation to Mangerini and Flammier as well as the René Furterer team and the hairstylists from Gene Jaurez. He ended the night with the exclamation, “Take the passion that you learned tonight and share it with your clients. What a great time we had!”
