Alexis Allison (@Alexismystyl7), an artist at The Salon at The Domain in Austin, Texas, had a new referral come in with box color on her ends and professional color at her roots. "Her hair was a deep dark brown," says Allison. "She showed me a picture of what she wanted and we decided on a platinum blue/gray color, what we are calling wolf gray!"
Here she shares the HOW TO:
Hair Starting Level: 5 warm dark brown, ends 4 warm brown
Hair Target Color: Platinum blue/gray
Step 1: Apply Goldwell Oxycur Platin Lightening Powder with 20 volume at the root and 30 volume on her ends. Process for 30 minutes, then shampoo and towel dry completely.
Step 2: Apply Oxycur Platin Lightening Powder with 30 volume on her roots then 40 volume on her ends. Process for 30 minutes, then shampoo and towel dry completely.
Step 3: Lighten the ends once more with Oxycur Platin Lightening Powder with 40 volume and process for 30 minutes. Shampoo and towel dry completely.
Step 4: Tone wth Goldwell Colorance with 10 volume. Process for 20 minutes. Rinse and blow-dry the hair.
Step 5: Formulation/application for the Blue/Gray, all Goldwell Topchic:
Roots: 9N-10 mls, P mix-27 mls, A mix-3 mls, 10 vol- 40 mls
Ends: 10N-10 mls, P mix-27 mls, A mix-3 mls, 10 vol- 40 mls
Step 6: Process for 30 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and condition.
