"Sierra has been loving having bright and colorful hair," says Elizabeth Nuttall (@misslizbliz) of Seasons Salon and Day Spa, Orem, Utah. "She started with pink, then to purple and now this blue. To get to this blue I had to lift her to an even base all over. She has the most perfect hair, it bounces back from everything and still feels like virgin hair."
Nuttall is thrilled that her clients are jumping out of their comfort zones and trying these fun shades. "My clients always leave so happy and they have a new sense of self and confidence. Their sassy, sexy, fun sides come out. I love being able to do that for them."
Here Nuttal offers the HOW TO for this faded fun to playful blue transformation:
Step 1: Lighten re-growth with L'Oreal Professionnel Infinie Plantine 40 volume and Olaplex.
Step 2: Pull the lightener through the ends and process for 15 minutes to lighten up the old color.
Step 3: Rinse and apply Olaplex step 2.
Step 4: Shampoo, towel dry and tone with L'Oreal Professionnel Dialight 9.11 with 6 volume. Apply to the roots first then pull through to the ends. Process for 10 minutes. Rinse and shampoo. Dry hair thoroughly.
Step 5: Apply Pravana Vivids Blue to the roots, pulling it down to midshaft every other section. Sections are 1/4 inch thick.
Step 6: For her ends apply the following formula: 1 part Pravana Blissful Blue, 1/2 part Mystical Mint, 1/4 part blue and a one inch ribbon of yellow. Process for 40 minutes, then rinse and style.
