Samantha Cusick (@samantha.cusick), Color Director at Taylor Taylor London on Portobello Road, Notting Hill, London, says "My client had been red for the last 5 years and decided it was time for the ultimate color change. I had been coloring her hair red with Wella Koleston 66/46 with /45 booster."
Here Cusick shares how she transformed her client from gorgeous red to gorgeous blonde:
HOW TO:
STEP 1: Apply Uber hair color remover and process for 50 minutes. Rinse.
STEP 2: Apply Olaplex stand alone treatment. Dry the hair.
STEP 3: Apply Wella Blondor with 6% and Olaplex No 1 to the roots. To the mid lengths and ends apply Wella Blondor with 9% and Olaplex No 1. Process for 50 minutes. Rinse.
STEP 4: Apply Olaplex No 2 and process for 20 minutes. Dry.
STEP 5: To mids and ends apply Wella Blondor with 6% and Olaplex No 1. Process for 50 minutes. Rinse and apply Olaplex No 2. Dry.
STEP 6: Repeat: Apply Wella Blondor with 6% and Olaplex No 1 to mid lengths and ends. Process for 50 minutes to ensure an even level 10 result. Rinse and apply Olaplex stand alone treatment. Dry.
STEP 7: Tone using Guy Tang's new metallics range for Kenra "that he kindly left for me to play with after working together at Salon International UK for Olaplex - 7sm with 9 volume at the roots to create a shadow and blended into 8sm with inch violet booster, and 9 volume on mid lengths and ends." Both with Olaplex No 1. Process for 20 minutes.
STEP 8: Rinse and apply Olaplex No 2 for 20 minutes. Shampoo and condition.
