AJ Russo (@colordudeaj) of Di Rosa Haircare (@dirosahaircare), Franklin Square, NY, met with Grace and knew her hair needed more dimension and tone to best suit her coloring and lifestyle. "My intention is always keeping the hair in its optimum condition," says Russo. "Grace is a longtime client with a natural level 7 but 75 percent gray. As her hair is long , she had some damage from heat styling and previous highlights. Overall Grace was looking for a warmer, richer color for the colder months to add some sparkle and tons of shine. Perfect for her complexion!"
Russo, who uses Goldwell, shares the steps for the transformation:
Step 1: Highlight with Goldwell Silk Lift and 20 volume alternating with low light formula of 8G ammonia free Nectaya and 10 volume developer.
Step 2: On roots only apply equal parts of 8n and 9n with 20 volume developer.
Step 3: Process for 30 minutes. Rinse and shampoo.
Step 4: Apply 40ml of Colorance Care Lotion 10ml 8gb 10ml of 10bb for the overlay.
Step 5: Process for 25 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.
