Gosia (@Malgorzatala), based in Los Angeles, held back a bit for her new client looking for a change. "This young girl came to me with her hair already balayaged to a blonde but brassy shade and she wanted a soft pink," says Gosia. "Since it was her first time doing that sort of color, we went slightly conservative."
Gosia shares the HOW TO:
Step 1: Balayage with L'Oreal Platiniumand 30 volume developer, blended with Olaplex.
Step 2: Lift ends to a lighter shade, "leaving some of the brassiness out, since I knew it would give it a more vintage, rose-gold shade. We knew it was going to fade quickly so when she came back two weeks later to redo it, I mixed a more intense color."
Step 3: Blend these Pravana shades:
1oz magenta
1.5oz neon pink
Splash of orange
Splash of wild orchid
Apply to the hair, roots to ends. Place under the dryer for 20 minutes and then cool for 10.
Step 4: Rinse with cool water and apply Olaplex no. 2 for 5 minutes.
Step 5: Style with a drop of Moroccanoil and add some shape with a curling rod.
