Eddie Avalos (@scixxorhands), the Regional Artistic Director for Carlton Hair Montclair, California, says that he is incredibly "passionate about what I do." We can tell! When we saw this transformation on Instagram, we tracked Avalos down to get the story. Here he shares:
"My guest came in with 1 inch regrowth and a faded red at a level 6. Her natural level is a level 3."
Step 1: Section the hair into 4 quardrants.
Step 2: Using Goldwell Oxycur Platin, start in the back and apply from root to ends with 20 volume developer.
Step 3: At the front area, raise developer to 30 volume.
Step 4: Process for 40 minutes, lifting to a level 9.
Step 5: Rinse with Goldwell Precolor shampoo. Towel dry.
Step 6: Tone with Goldwell Colorance. Formula: 60mls of Colorance lotion 25 of 10V and 5 mls of 2A. Apply to the root to 1 1/2 inch out.
Step 7: Balayage with the same formula where you want that extra pop of blue. Process for 15 minutes.
Step 8: While processing, apply the same formula to the ends and process for an additional 5 mins (root and balayage process for 20 min and ends process for 5 minutes). Rinse and condition with Goldwell Post Color Conditioner.
