Garrett McManus was holding court at the Square booth at the Premiere show. It was almost impossible to get a moment with him to find out how this device, the free "Square" app, makes billing easier for smaller salons and booth renters.
"They love this because it's simple," says Garrett. "Booth renters do not want to pay for a terminal or have a merchant account. They need this." The device can be used on an IPhone, Android or IPad.
"A simple rate of 2.75% is charged for each use and all credit cards are accepted including reward cards," adds Garrett. "It can include tipping and the client signs with his or her finger. It couldn't be easier."
6000 of the 7000 "readers" were gone by the first day of the show. In this demo, Garrett gives us insight and a demo. It's great.
