Something look a little ... different about Michelle Williams’ hair lately? If it seems longer to you these days, you’d be right.

Almost three years after Michelle shocked the hair world with her trendsetting, modern pixie cut, the big-screen star says she’s finally ready for a longer look. Michelle told E! recently that she’s begun the process of growing out her close crop and that she’s actually kept it short all these years mainly to avoid the dreaded “mid-stage” length in that process: “The mid-stage is insufferable,” she said. “It’s really hard on your self-esteem.” Nonetheless, she seems committed to a longer look! “I think I’m ready,” she said. “It’s on its way, slowly but surely.”
