“Our entry into Alaska is a testament to our commitment to being the ultimate partner for beauty professionals, regardless of geography,” said Jodi Fountain, Deputy GM of Commercial at SalonCentric, in the announcement. “We aren’t just opening a store; we are delivering a support system designed to help stylists, suite owners and salon professionals in Alaska support their clients while growing their businesses.”
The Anchorage location will be owned and operated by franchise partners Brent and Kate Ewing, who currently operate SalonCentric franchise locations across Texas, Montana, Wyoming and Oklahoma. The couple first partnered with SalonCentric in 2019 through the company’s initial franchise pilot program.
"We are incredibly proud to bring the SalonCentric experience to Alaska," said Kate Ewing. "Our focus has always been on empowering the professional community. We recognize the unique spirit and talent of the beauty professionals in Alaska, and we are dedicated to providing them with the same high-touch service and premium brand portfolio that our partners in the lower 48 rely on."
"Brent and Kate Ewing have been instrumental in our franchise evolution," says Paul Palladino, Vice President of Sub-Distribution for SalonCentric. "Their journey as SalonCentric franchisees began in 2019 with our very first franchised pilot store in Plano, Texas. As our inaugural franchise partners, they successfully piloted this critical stage in our strategy, and we are proud to see them lead this historic expansion into the 'Last Frontier'."
In addition to retail access, Alaska-based salon professionals will also have access to SalonCentric’s digital education platform, loyalty programs and business resources.
The expansion reflects continued growth in professional beauty distribution and highlights the importance of accessibility and education for salon professionals in more geographically remote markets.
