Wahl Clipper has announced its purchase of Pro Design Group, a Los Angeles based manufacturer of salon carts and shampoo bowls.  The acquisition covers all assets of the company including intellectual property, tooling, molds, fixtures, components, finished goods, and products in progress. The Pro Design product inventory is similar to that of Kayline products, which was purchased by Wahl several years ago. Kayline founder Dottie Reiner is still involved in the brand for Wahl and will manage the sales and marketing for Pro Design Group as well.

Wahl can now offer salon professionals a choice in shampoo bowls and a greater selection of cart styles.

“This is a natural acquisition for us, as it expands both our product assortment as well as our market share of this category.
