Everyone is LOVING the special wave created by Aveda's Antoinette Beenders on page 86 of Modern Salon Magazine's January 2013 issue.
Antoinette takes texture quite seriously and is constantly looking around for new ways to create interesting shapes and designs. That "looking around" took her in to a hardware store where she found large plant holder pins. "Hmmmm," she thought...."I can TOTALLY do something with that."
Modern stopped by the session in NYC where Antoinette was preparing the 6 page feature called "Natural Elements" (pages 84 - 89). While all the finishes are gorgeous, its the angular wave that is creating a buzz.
"This technique gives the hair an unusual, angular quality," she says. "It's not a curl or a wave - it's a beautiful, fairytale texture that looks high fashion."
In fact it was so HIGH FASHION that she used it during the most recent fashion week for the spring/summer 2013 collections.
