Connie Delamora (@ConnieCouture) of Studio One Salon, Kennewick, Washington, had an opportunity to have some fun with her client.
Here she shares the HOW-TO:
STEP 1: Apply Kenra no ammonia lightener blended with 30 volume and Olaplex from mid shaft to ends. Cover with a plastic cap and process for 45 minutes. "She had a lot of red undertones from a previous color. Her midshaft to ends lifted to a level 7."
STEP 2: Apply Kenra no ammonia lightener with 20 volume to the roots and process for another 15 minutes. Re-apply more lightener with 20 volume and Olaplex from midshaft to ends for another 5 minutes, lifting to a level 9.
STEP 3: Shampoo and apply Wella Service as a post conditioning treatment. "Since she had so much red under tone there was still a lot of yellow in her hair." Tone with with Redken Shades EQ 9v, 9b, and a pinch of 7v to tone out the yellow.
STEP 4: Blend 2 inches of Pravana Violet, 3 inches Pravana red and 1 inch Joico soft pink and apply to the root. Process for 15 minutes. Do not rinse.
STEP 5: To the midshaft, take 1oz of the root color and blend with Joico soft pink and clear to dilute. Process for another 10 minutes. Before shampooing, apply the left over midshaft color to add a touch of pigment to the ends. "This created the most beautiful dimension blend of violets and pink undertones. "
