The Fix: Green to Blonde with Olaplex

Cathy Tran (@prostylistcathyt) was needed for a fix. This client drove 2 hours and spent 6 hours in the salon for this correction. "To achieve this look, I used Olaplex with Redken Flashlift and cool shades developer using 20 turning into 10," says Tran. "And although it looks thicker at the end, the fullness comes from a good haircut that the client needed. No extensions!"

Here she shares the HOW TO for this big fix:

Step 1: Section hair into 4 pie sections working from the bottom up. Using a Balayage technique, apply the Flashlift throughout.

Step 2: Process to pull out the vivid colors completely (approximately 10 minutes). Rinse section by section when green completely removed the green.

Step 3: Rinse thoroughly and apply Olaplex number 2 for 30 minutes.

Step 4: Rinse throughly then shampoo and condition with JOICO KPAK Color Therapy.

Step 5: Tone with Wella Color Charm t18 2 full bottles with cool shades 30 volume, adding Olaplex also into the toner and adding 9a as an additive ("meaning just half a bottle of 9a and no developer".)
