Mackenzie Myers (@mackenziemyers91) of The Beauty Bar, Salisbury, North Carolina, was thrilled when co-worker Carri decided she wanted a HUGE change. "This was a 2 appointment process," says Myers. "At the first appointment we first cut a good 11 or 12 inches off her length and then began the process of taking her platinum blonde."
Here she shares the HOW TO:
SESSION 1:
STEP 1: Apply Wella Blondor with 30 volume and Olaplex from midstrand to ends. Process for 45 minutes. Rinse and apply Olaplex no. 2 "and let that work its magic for 15 minutes." Shampoo and dry the hair.
STEP 2: Apply Wella Blondor with 20 volume to the new growth and re-apply the Blondor with 30 volume and Olaplex to the ends. Process for another 40 minutes. Rinse.
STEP 3: Tone with Wella 10/16 for 10 minutes then apply Olaplex no. 2 for another 15 minutes. Shampoo.
SESSION 2:
STEP 1: To the base apply Pravana Vivids half a tube of silver with 1/4th blue.
STEP 2: On top place baby lights with a mixture of blue, silver and clear. "Eyeball the color until desired shade is reached."
STEP 3: Process for 20 minutes and then shampoo with cool water.
