Anna Marelli at Salon Indaco (@annaeleine) of Salon Indaco (@salonindaco), Clemmons, NC, says her client regularly enjoys bright reds and pinks. "She wanted to stray from the vibrant colors and start off the fall/winter season with an icy blonde, with an option to go pastel later," says Marelli. "I explained that it would be a two-day process, and she was willing to split up the appointments. I used great care when foiling, working quickly and making sure to saturate every strand." To maintain her new color and the integrity of the hair, Marelli says her client purchased Forever Blonde by Paul Mitchell Shampoo, Conditioner, and Dramatic Repair for daily use, and Olaplex No 3 Hair Perfector for weekly use. "Her hair was still in fabulous condition after the process, and she was blown away with the results... and she looks fabulous as a blonde!"
DAY ONE:
Step 1: Apply Wella Blondor Lightener with Koleston 30 volume developer using Platinum Card technique, feathering into root (about 1/2 inch away from scalp).
Step 2: Process 45 minutes and rinse in cool water, shampoo & deep condition.
Step 3: Apply Pravana Pastel in "Too Cute Coral" to even out tone.
DAY TWO:
Step 4: Re-apply Wella Blondor with 30 volume and Olaplex, keeping lightener 1/2 inch off of scalp for a shadowed root. Process until pale yellow. Rinse in cool water and towel dry.
Step 5: Tone with Paul Mitchell Color XG Ultra Toners UTP + UTA with 5 volume cream, until you see slight color change.
Step 6: Rinse and apply Olaplex Bond Perfector No 2 and leave in for 15 minutes. Shampoo, deep condition, and send client home with Olaplex No 3 for weekly use.
