Celebrity Stylist and Shear Genius winner Brig Van Osten took the stage at Premiere Orlando to create three bold looks using Pravana VIVIDs. "Chromasilk VIVIDs are the perfect colors to nail these looks. All of the VIVIDs shades have a pop to them,” says Brig.

Brig’s trick to emphasizing her bold color creations was creating a silver base to work off of. “Gray/Silver is the new black since it has gained mainstream popularity in literature, home decor and fashion over the last year. I knew Silver would be the perfect canvas to propel the appearance of my bolder color placement.”

Brig chose to do one model using cool tones, one model with warm tones and a third model styled using hairpieces colored with custom mixed pastel VIVIDs and Silver. “I'm thrilled with the results,” says Brig. “The balance I achieved using Silver as the canvas was more than what I had hoped for.”

Look #1

COLOR (hairpieces)

The pieces started at a level 10. Each piece was colored using the pastel tone formulas for only two minutes EXCEPT the silver pieces, which were processed for five minutes.

Step 1: Hair was shampooed using Pravana Color Ensure Sulfate-Free Shampoo with cold water.

Step 2: Follow color formulas (see color swatch photo for Look #1).

Step 3: Then treat the hair with Pravana KeraGLAZE to lock in the VIVIDs and prevent bleeding of colors.

STYLING

Model’s own hair was styled into a bun. Hairpieces were waved with 19mm Enzo Milano Clipless Iron and styled with Blow Dry Spray for protection and hairspray. Hairpieces were then pinned into place one on top of the other around the model’s bun to create a futuristic beehive.
