Floyd’s 99 Barbershop, a family-owned barbershop operating 120 locations across the United States, recently announced the appointment of Phil Horvath as president. In his new role, Horvath will be focused on enhancing the culture, building operational excellence and upgrading the company’s technology platform as it looks to grow through franchise expansion. Horvath also will puta renewed emphasis on growing the Floyd's product brand through e-commerce and other direct-to-consumer strategies.

Horvath brings over 25 years of experience in the consumer, beauty and salon industry. Growing up, his family owned their own chain of salons where he developed a deep love for the business and strong respect for its professionals. After getting a taste of the incredible passion and spirit of salon culture, Horvath knew he wanted to create a career in the beauty industry.

Prior to joining Floyd’s, Horvath spent 17 years at UltaBeauty where he served in various executive leadership roles in both salon and retail operations. During his tenure, he helped Ulta round out its salon services and grow their stores from 70 to more than 900. Most recently, Horvath served as president and COO of HairCuttery, the largest privately held hair salon chain in the United States. Horvath holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Public Policy from Stanford University. He believes that business is about purpose, people and apassion driven, customer-centric mindset. He currently serves as a board member of Chatters Salon Group in Canada and the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation and strives to make impactful decisions that will positively affect the industry.
Brothers Paul, Rob, and Bill O’Brien established Floyd’s 99 Barbershop in 1999 and the company currently has 118 locations nationwide.
