Each year, the North American Hairstyling Awards give two very special honors: the Lifetime Achievement award and the Hall of Leaders award.
The Lifetime Achievement award, NAHA's top honor, recognizes outstanding contributions to the hair and beauty industry and is limited to licensed salon professionals. This year's honoree, Beth Minardi, who recently announced her new position as Joico's Vero K-Pak Color spokesperson, has spent her career as a celebrity colorist, salon owner, educator and product consultant. She is recognized as one of the world's leading experts on hair color and continues to color clients at her Manhattan-based Minardi salon.
"I believe this award is just the beginning and, with it, I accept the responsibility to continue moving toward the time when hair color will be considered the art form I believe it to be," said Minardi of the honor.

The Hall of Leaders award recognizes outstanding contributions to the hair and beauty industry. This year, NAHA is inducting Frederic Holzberger into the prestigious Hall of Leaders. Holzberger has been an entrepreneur, environmentalist and philanthropist in the beauty industry with a passion for design, trends and marketing. He is founder, CEO and president of the Aveda Fredric's Institutes in Cincinnati and Indianapolis. Holzberger is also the founder of Project Daymaker, a "salon on wheels" founded in 1995 which travels within the Cincinnati area to social service organizations and shelters to help restore self esteem to the less
fortunate, one hair cut at a time.
"I am deeply honored to be selected as this year's NAHA Hall of Leaders inductee," said Holzberger. "For me it symbolizes the reward of building an eco-system of relationships of salon and spa owners and professionals, and cosmetology and esthetics students, and having the foresight and belief in encouraging them to achieve their highest potential through integrity and education as well as giving back to the community."
