The campaign was inspired by the lack of education on curl and texture in the industry and inspired by artists Martina (@4allcurlkind) and TK (@tkloveshair), sponsored artists of Oligo Professionnel, who have an extensive amount of experience in curls and texture.

Moreover, this campaign was created to educate the basics of curl types and how to encourage stylists to learn and expand their type of clientele. Finally, this campaign was created to motivate our industry to continue educating on these topics and ensure inclusivity amongst brands and stylists.

Color and Style
The artists created color and style for seven different guests whose curl types range between 2c-4c. The artists explain their step-by-step method based on hair porosity, type, and structure. There is a myth in our industry where curly and textured hair cannot be lightened or colored due to damage. These artists go against this myth and show how with the right methods, products and finesse, curly guests can feel confident with new colors, looks, and healthy hair. Their secret? Understanding the canvas while also utilizing bond building products like Smart by Blacklight.
