Who appreciates big hair and a great can of hairspray more than country music lovers? The ladies of the country music world brought their A-game to the Academy of Country Music Awards red carpet. Let’s take a look at a few stellar styles.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD

Yes, her again. The blonde bombshell brought her A-game yet again on the red carpet with some stunning shine to her long locks, worn down and to the side in polished barrel curls. She later let out her inner rocker chick with a voluminous, mussed style during a performance on stage. Her long fringe and away-from-the-face curls draw attention to her smoky eye.

MIRANDA LAMBERT

With her husband on duty as host of the evening's ceremony, Miranda Lambert held her own with a polished, old Hollywood look to complement her gown. The gold in her dress brought out the dimension in her rooty blonde color. A southern girl at heart, her golden tones have never looked better.

LAURA BELL BUNDY

A slight departure from most of the country ladies of the evening, Laura Bell Bundy sassed (and sexed?) up the ceremony with a side-gathered chignon-inspired bun worn low and to the side with a deep side part. The contrasting textures paired well with her almost completely backless gown, it's no wonder she went with a pulled back style to draw more attention to her wardrobe.

TAYLOR SWIFT

It's been about four months since Taylor debuted her bangin' fringe, and it looks like they'll be here to stay a bit longer. The newly crowned entertainer of the year ditched her signature texture for the night and went with a sleek, piecy look. Does her straightened length, which shows off her face-framing layers, help her look older and a bit more mature, or is she really growing up before our eyes? Both?

SHAWNA THOMPSON

Blondes weren't the only ones having fun at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Shawna Thompson, half of the husband-wife country duo, rocked her now jet black mane with a romantic down 'do of curls. With porcelain skin like hers, you might have trouble picturing her in any other shade. But Shawna has dabbled with dramatic bleached highlights in the past, so never say never!

HILLARY SCOTT

Red Carpet Looks: Academy of Country Music Awards

Reppin' for brunettes everywhere, Lady Antebellum frontwoman Hillary Scott showed off her chocolate ombre color with long layers and a severe middle part, which was big on runways this season. Her easy-to-maintain color still looks rich and glossy, sans the heavy fringe she's been seen with recently.
