Tricoci University of Beauty Culture is once again supporting the Edward Touhy Guardian Angel Foundation’s annual campaign Senior PROMise, an inspiring initiative that enables economically-disadvantaged young women and men in Chicago to attend their senior proms.

A team of cosmetology and esthetics students from Tricoci University’s Bridgeview Campus will do prom-perfect makeup and hairstyles for three deserving groups of teenagers who otherwise couldn’t afford to glam-up for this important milestone.

Students from Marist High School and Queen of Peace High School in Chicago will receive their complimentary beauty services at Tricoci University on Friday, May 15th. Students from North Lawndale College Prep High School in Chicago will visit Tricoci University on Friday, May 22nd. In order to be selected for the prom makeovers, the high school seniors must be in good academic standing.

“We consider it an honor to be associated with the Senior PROMise campaign,” says Lina Alvarado, Director of Education at Tricoci University of Beauty Culture. “To have a hand in making these young ladies feel like Cinderella for their special day is extremely rewarding, and our students are very excited to help.”

The Senior PROMise campaign has already provided the teenage ladies with senior prom dresses, handbags and shoes at the “Glam Closet” event in early April. The garments were all generously donated by numerous Chicago-based organizations such as the Latin School of Chicago, Francis Parker High School and Old St. Pat's Church. The young men are catered to, as well – they have been provided with donated suits, blazers and shirts.

The Senior PROMise initiative forms part of Edward Touhy Guardian Angel Foundation’s wider mission to provide vital resources to economically distressed students so they can graduate from charter and parochial high schools in Cook County, Illinois.
